Remy vs Non Remy Hair

When choosing hair extensions, it's important to opt for high quality and durability. That's why it's essential to understand the difference between Remy and Non-Remy hair for beautiful, healthy, and long-lasting results.

Remy Hair: Perfect Premium quality

Remy vs Non Remy Hair: What’s the difference?** Remy hair is 100% natural, sourced from one person, guaranteeing the highest quality. The hair is cut from one person, with the cuticle intact and aligned in one direction—from root to tip. This makes the hair exceptionally strong, flexible, and tangle-free, even after repeated washing and many months of use. Care is easy and enjoyable. Pictured is an example of Remy hair used by my client for 13 months—it still looks beautiful and healthy! Investing in Remy Premium hair guarantees satisfaction and long-lasting effects.

Non Remy Hair: Troubles from the first wash

In the case of Non-Remy hair, the cuticle scales are arranged in different directions. This causes friction between the hairs, leading to tangling, frizzing, and difficulty in combing. The risk of damaging your own hair, or even pulling it out during brushing, is significantly higher. Often, to mask the low quality, manufacturers apply a silicone coating, giving them an artificial shine. Non-Remy hair, which I purchased from the "X" store as part of a test, is sold under the name "Slavic Virgin." The hair was washed only once by me. As seen in the photos, the top of the hair is smooth after washing, but the ends are frizzy. Unfortunately, after the first wash, the silicone disappears and the hair begins to frizz and tangle, with split ends appearing.

Moreover, it is visible to the naked eye that the hair structure is very thick with many dark, unbleached hairs, indicating a very low quality hair that has been subjected to rapid bleaching in a chemical acid bath. These are definitely not Slavic hairs but cheap ones with a different, thicker diameter unsuitable for European women and have a very short lifespan.

Avoid Traps: Know the difference

Quick and cheap methods of bleaching Non-Remy hair lead to damage. Chemical acid baths open the cuticle, and the damage is irreversible. Non-Remy hair often varies in thickness and color, making it look unnatural and quickly losing its charm. These hairs, often sold as "Slavic, Russian, and European," can come from various sources and are characterized by low quality.
